Rep. Cole Includes Funds for I-44/Fort Sill Key Gate Interchange in Highway Bill
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole was able to secure $1 million for reconstruction of the I-44/Fort Sill Key Gate interchange in the Transportation Reauthorization bill that passed in the House today. The Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (H.R. 3) now awaits action by the Senate.
"Improvements at this interchange are necessary for the efficient transportation of military goods, which is critical to national security and local economic vitality. I will continue to work to make sure these funds are included in the final version of the legislation. I hope that this bill will move quickly through the rest of the legislative process, so work can begin as soon as possible," Congressman Cole said.
Congressman Cole was able to include $16 million for priority projects in Oklahoma's Fourth Congressional District in The Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (H.R. 3).
