Cole Statement on Retirement of Dr. Stephen Prescott
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement upon hearing news that Dr. Stephen Prescott will retire from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) where he has served as president for 15 years.
“The retirement of Dr. Stephen Prescott from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation is a tremendous loss,” said Cole. “An Oklahoman by choice, he has been a remarkable leader and has helped countless Oklahomans. Without his work, we would not have the biomedical research base at the Oklahoma City Health Complex. I remember the many long conversations we had together about how to bring federal resources back to Oklahoma and how to engage and train the next generation of researchers. His vision for OMRF and work done for the National Institutes of Health will be unmatched and sorely missed.”
