Art Competition

Each spring, I am delighted to invite high school students from my district to participate in this annual competition sponsored by the Congressional Institute. If you’re a high school student looking for an opportunity to show off your creativity, this is your chance to represent our district and receive national recognition.

Started in 1982, An Artistic Discovery allows lawmakers to encourage and recognize the artistic talent of their young constituents. Since then, more than 650,000 students have participated in the nationwide competition.

Open to all high school students living in the Fourth District of Oklahoma, the winning prize includes display of the artwork for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The second-place winner will have his or her artwork displayed in my Norman office for one year and will receive a certificate of recognition. 

All entries are accepted at one of my district offices or the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce by 4 p.m. on May 28, 2021. Those locations are listed below:
