Cole Announces Congressional Art Competition

March 22, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The office of Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) is accepting entries for the annual Congressional Art Competition.

Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our congressional district.

Winning students have their artwork displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. and are invited to travel to Washington with a guest to meet with Rep. Cole and attend an art workshop in the city, courtesy of Southwest Airlines.

The Artistic Discovery Contest is open to all high school students in the 4th District. The overall winner of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will also include artwork from other contest winners nationwide.
