Cole Mourns Loss of Former Congressman John Dingell

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement after the passing of former Congressman John Dingell, who served in the United States Congress longer than any other member in history.

"I was very sad to hear about the passing of former Congressman John Dingell, a legendary figure in the House who served his constituents for nearly 60 years," said Cole. "Before he retired in 2015, I had the great pleasure of getting to know John and enjoying some great laughs from his incredible sense of humor. Without question, he leaves behind an incredible legacy.

"During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with John's wife Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, their family and many loved ones."
