Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement after voting in favor of S. 4367, the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2024:
“The 2024 WRDA bill will benefit Oklahoma in so many ways. For example, through the addition of feasibility studies at Lake Sardis and Lake Texoma, we will be able to ensure water reliability for future growth and development in the Southeastern and Southcentral areas of Oklahoma. Additionally, this legislation includes funding for water infrastructure improvements in Midwest City, which will help to increase the drought-resiliency of the city,” said Congressman Cole.
“For these reasons and many more, I am proud to see this legislation pass through the House of Representatives today and, as always, I am proud to have voted to help our Oklahoma communities,” said Congressman Cole.
