Congressman Cole to Host Open House in Washington

September 20, 2004

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Cole will host an open house at his office in Washington the week of September 20 for constituents in town for the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian.

"Native Americans have contributed a great deal to the heritage of Oklahoma and our nation. This museum will be a tribute to them and I know many will want to be in town for the opening festivities," Congressman Tom Cole said. "Our office is of course open to visitors at any time, but this week we would like to offer it as a meeting or resting place to those in town to share in this cultural achievement."

Congressman Cole's office is located in 501 Cannon House Office Building, across the street from the U.S. Capitol. You can enter the Cannon Building on Independence Avenue or Capitol South Street. Constituents are encouraged to take the Metro to the Capitol South station because of the large volume of traffic expected.

The office can be reached at (202) 225-6165, and staff is available to help any visitors who need assistance. For more information on the events surrounding the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian please visit: https://www.nmai.si.edu/index.cfm.
