Congressman Cole Includes Funds for Duncan Seperation in Highway Bill

March 10, 2005

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole was able to secure $3 million for the construction of a bypass grade separation in Duncan in the Transportation Reauthorization bill that passed in the House today. The Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (H.R. 3) now awaits action by the Senate.

"These funds will help alleviate safety and traffic impediments for the Duncan community and the many travelers between Oklahoma and Texas. I will continue to work to make sure these funds are included in the final version of the legislation. I hope that this bill will move quickly through the rest of the legislative process, so work can begin as soon as possible," Congressman Cole said.

Congressman Cole was able to include $16 million for priority projects in Oklahoma's Fourth Congressional District in The Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (H.R. 3).
