Washington D.C. – Congressman Cole voted today to amend the Constitution of the United States to enable Congress to prohibit the physical desecration of the U.S. flag. Congressman Cole is a co-sponsor of The Flag Protection Amendment (H.J Res. 4), which passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 300-125.

After a joint conference committee agreement and a meeting with House and Senate Republicans and the President, a tax cut plan of $350 billion was sent to the floors of both chambers. The House passed the package 231-200 and the Senate 51-50.
