This legislation, which passed the House today, reauthorizes the Section 184 loan guarantee program administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through fiscal year 2012. The bill provides loan guarantees to private-sector lenders who make mortgage loans to eligible borrowers for homes located in Native American Communities.

Included in the bill was legislation introduced by Cole and Congresswoman Mary Fallin earlier in the year that would transfer 227 acres of shoreline on Lake Texoma from the federal government to the state of Oklahoma.
