Washington, D.C. – In an effort to help the millions of people who are uninsured, Congressman Cole voted for two pieces of legislation, H.R. 4279 and H.R. 4280, today that will help make health care more accessible to American workers.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Cole today voted for a resolution that condemns the abuse of prisoners in U.S. custody in Iraq. H. Res. 627 also emphasized that alleged crimes of a few should not detract from the commendable sacrifices of over 300,000 members of the Armed Forces who have served, or who are serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Cole showed support for teachers and staff who educate the children of members of the Armed Services by voting for H. Res. 598.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Cole voted today for legislation that ensures that marriage penalty tax relief is not reduced next year and that the "marriage penalty" is removed from the Tax Code permanently.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Cole today voted for H.R. 1779, the Guardsmen and Reservists Financial Relief Act of 2003, which passed the House, 415-18.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Cole secured $14 million dollars for priority road/bridge projects in Oklahoma's Fourth Congressional District in the Transportation Equity Act (H.R. 3550), but voted no on final passage of the bill because of the negative impact the legislation would have on Oklahoma.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) announced that 308,000 jobs were created in March and that U.S. payrolls grew at the fastest pace in nearly four years during this past month.
