I have always read that powerful statement to include the right of the unborn to life, and throughout my many years of political service, I have striven to be a champion for unborn children and vulnerable minors.

In recent years, our country has been ravaged by a deadly epidemic that is destroying communities and families alike. The opioid crisis has been a devastating battle for Americans young and old, and combatting this epidemic has become one of the most significant challenges facing families and communities across the nation.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 115 American die each day from an opiate overdose. That is one American every 13 minutes. In fact, drug overdoses are the leading cause of death among Americans under 50.

As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I know that the committee is diligent to ensure that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and for good purposes. Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement after President Trump announced the termination of the United States' participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran, also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.
"I support President Trump's decision to rescind the United States' participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran," said Cole. "This deal was bad from the onset – it was negotiated by a weak Administration and would have allowed Iran to become nuclear capable.
