WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week U.S. Congressman Tom Cole (OK-4) received the "2008 Friend of the Wildcatter" award from the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA) for his service to Oklahoma’s natural gas and oil industries. Cole was recognized for voting consistently in the 110th Congress to protect oil and natural gas industry jobs in Oklahoma and calling for more domestic exploration and production.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Tom Cole (OK-4) joined other leaders of Republican leadership today in sending a letter to Speaker Pelosi urging her to reveal the "commonsense plan" to lower gas prices that she promised two years ago. The Daily Fuel Gauge Report from AAA reports that the current national average for gasoline is the highest it has ever been at $3.51 a gallon.
