Cole Votes for Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04), Vice Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 7691, the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act.

"The ongoing defense and inspiring perseverance of the Ukrainian people in defending their country from Vladmir Putin's tyrannical attempted takeover has been nothing short of awe-inspiring," said Cole. "However, we cannot let our Ukrainian friends down now. The funding approved today will be critical in Ukraine's ongoing pursuit to remain a democratic nation. With U.S. aid amounting to half of all of Russia's defense budget, this is a stand against Putin and other nations and clearly shows that America remains resolutely committed to resisting authoritarianism. I was proud to vote in favor of this critical funding that will be undoubtedly beneficial in helping the Ukrainians finish the fight."
