Washington, DC – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04), in response to national security threats abroad and to encourage discussion and debate in Congress on U.S. military strategy, introduced legislation this week that would authorize the use of force (AUMF) against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS) and its associated forces. Cole’s measure, H. Con. Res. 106, is similar to legislation previously introduced by Senator Lindsey Graham.
