WASHINGTON – Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement today after the President submitted his fiscal year 2009 budget proposal to Congress.

"The President's budget serves as a useful starting point for a debate over our nation's fiscal priorities. I am pleased that his recommendations include securing our borders, strengthening our national security and addressing the country's economic uncertainties."
